At Arcosanti I managed the Ceramics Department for Cosanti Originals. I began in 2021, became manager after 1 year, and managed until 2025. We produced ceramic bells, pots, tiles, and mugs. In this time I gained the skill of carving clay with a box cutter knife. I learned the ancient technique of siltcasting. I learned plaster slipcasting, mold making... how to make tiles, process raw clay, and maintain a gallery space alongside it all. I taught bell-making workshops to groups of 12 people at a time, casting in the silt (river dirt). I made speciality products for companies that were outside of the normal scope. I also got to play. In the bottom slideshow you'll find my work for Cosanti Originals - examples of my carving on a product that was not of my own creation (the bells). The top slideshow is my own personal work.
